Dorothy Louise Hughes was 95 years old and still telling stories the day before she passed. Born during the Great Depression in rural Mississippi, Dorothy lived through history with grace and resilience. She was a church organist for 60 years, a devoted mother of six, and a grandmother whose kitchen was always open. Her sweet potato pie recipe remains a closely guarded family treasure.
